5 Things I’m Loving Right Now

I wouldn’t consider myself a big shopper, to be honest.

However, when I do find things that I really do love- I like to share!

And I've come across a bunch of fantastic finds lately that I think fit the bill.

Whether it's discovering the perfect shade of paint that transforms a room, unwinding with a glass of cabernet, or creating a cozy atmosphere with candles, I'm here to spill the tea (and the wine) on the things I've been absolutely loving.

So, grab a seat, get comfy, and let's dive into my current obsessions!

1. Ceremonia Hair Care Products- About a year ago, I stumbled upon Ceremonia, a hair care brand not only prides itself on being clean, vegan, and cruelty free, but also has a mission deeply rooted in Latinx heritage.

Their goal? To empower you with hair that not only looks fabulous but also exudes confidence.

Curious about their products, I decided to give them a shot and the results were pretty great.

Their secret? Well, it lies in ingredients like Cupuaçu Butter, Guava Fruit Extract, and Pequi Oil (just to name a few).

I'll be honest; I was initially skeptical, but after continued use, my hair was visibly transformed with less frizz, more shine, and an added bounce that I couldn't ignore.

In fact, when I reverted to my old standby, Garnier Fructis, after running out of Ceremonia, my hair took a noticeable hit in both appearance and texture.

So, as soon as I finish writing this, I'm high-tailing it to the inter webs to order me some more!

Does Ceremonia come at a higher price point than your typical drugstore brand? Absolutely. Is it worth every penny? In my book, without a doubt, yes.

2. Brown Napa Valley- During our visit to wine country, my sister and I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Brown Estate. It's an extraordinary find in Napa Valley, being the first Black-owned estate winery with women of color at the helm. And it proudly boasts a certification for sustainability while also being vegan-friendly.

Now, I have to confess- my sister and I are both introverts who'd rather not engage in lengthy conversations with sommeliers- we just want to enjoy our wine in peace😩

However, Brown Estate was the one exception to our usual rule. We were absolutely itching to visit their tasting room, but unfortunately for us, they were closed during our time there (major bummer!).

Silver lining? Both you and I can shop their wines online.

3. Lick Paint- The brand that's been causing quite a stir with their stunning low-VOC water-based paint! And here's why I love them: sustainability and community are at the core of their mission.

Lick is all about creating a decorating movement powered by people. One that not only looks good but also does good for the planet.

What's even better? They make the process super easy.

From reusable, peel-and-stick paint samples to paint names that are refreshingly straightforward, Lick takes the hassle out of decorating while reducing waste.

Need help choosing the perfect color? They've got you covered with Online Color Consultants and expert decorating advice.

Plus, all Lick paints are proudly vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. So, your walls can look stunning while staying in line with your values.  We love that.

4. Nette Candles- I’ve talked about them before, but let me gush about this brand once more because I seriously adore them!

These aren't your run-of-the-mill candles with your typical scents. If you're craving unique and out-of-the-box aromas, Nette is the way to go. They're the epitome of clean-burning, sustainability, and chicness all wrapped into one delightful package.

Sadly, the candle market is often flooded with less-than-stellar options that contain harmful ingredients like paraffin wax. And if, like me, you're a bit of a design snob, finding a candle that looks as good as it smells can be a challenge.

But Nette has you covered. They use non-toxic coconut-soy wax and collaborate with artisan glass blowers who meticulously craft their glass vessels by hand. Additionally, they partner with ceramicists to create beautifully glazed ceramics in the most stunning colors.

What's even cooler? Nette's containers are food-safe and dishwasher safe, meaning they can pull double-duty as drinking glasses or coffee mugs once your candle has served its aromatic purpose!

Oh, and did I mention they're proudly vegan and cruelty-free?   So, if you're in the mood for captivating scents that stand out from the crowd, definitely give Nette a try.
